Do You Have Time to Waste Time?

RRaluca Stan · Psychologist & PCC Coach· 4 October 2018 · 1 min read
Tu ai timp să pierzi timpul?

No one has the right to tell you who you are.

As long as you see yourself through others' eyes, you will never truly know what belongs to you, what is genuinely yours.

You'll have a life based only on other people's projections.

Life is lived by living, not by talking, thinking, or dreaming.

Any action, whether good or not so good, is at least yours — you decided it.

By bending yourself to fit universal principles, you no longer allow yourself to know who you truly are. You'll spend your life just trying to follow standards you don't even know the origin of, or who invented them. You simply pick them up and carry them forward, like baggage.

How many of the people who made great inventions followed someone else's path?

Someone once said the world is full of followers and talkers, and there are fewer and fewer people who actually do.

We waste our time and our lives commenting, judging, playing psychological and social games — for what? Just to pass the time?

And if we've been given this TIME called life, do we just have to get through it? Like an exam where it's enough to get a passing grade?

Is that really all your life is about?

Is that all you are?

A passerby in time?

A traveler covering the distance from point A to point B along a predetermined route?

Then I sit and wonder: if that's all there is to it, why do we get so worked up about everything?

And if there's more to it than that, why do we have time to waste time?

Warmly,
Raluca
