We Need People and Relationships

We can't live without one another, no matter how much we might say or wish otherwise. I've heard opinions along the lines of: if you're at peace with yourself, that's enough, and you don't need anyone else.
Well, here's the challenge: once you're at peace with yourself, people come into your life who test you, especially your romantic partner. That's when the real tests appear — but if you succeed in your relationship as a couple, everything else with other people becomes much easier. And if you have children, they will copy and model their behavior on yours 🙂
It's true, it's easier to isolate yourself and stay within your own bubble — but where would the growth be in that?
We need each other, and it's through people that we grow, and the journey is far more beautiful with someone by our side.
We are in this world for a purpose: to discover who we truly are and to make the fullest use of all our qualities, to make humanity a better place, to help one another, and to build together.
We are all equal; what sets us apart is that we're at different stages of our personal journey, which is why we end up in conflict with one another, seeing others as bad, and sometimes blaming them for our own suffering.
Here's the big challenge: what do you do when you step out of the comfortable bubble you've created, and your purpose is to help everyone around you, to give from what you've become?
Wouldn't it be a shame to know certain things and not share who you are, what you've gained?
The easiest path, of course, is wanting to run away — and if you do that, it's as if you've already given up without even fighting.
I believed this myself for a long time — that if I was fine, I didn't need to concern myself with others, let alone get involved and help them of my own accord.
In truth, I was afraid of people, and it felt safer to stay on the sidelines and do nothing. I kept telling myself it was their business, and I was indifferent to the suffering around me.
Until I learned to open up, to receive, and I saw how important it is to team up with the person next to you, to see them as an ally, and to give from everything you are.
Challenges and conflicts are actually an opportunity to grow, to learn new things about yourself and the other person; they push you to develop those forgotten parts of yourself.
You can learn about those forgotten parts, about how we became who we are today, about the causes of conflict in all the relationships around us, and about solutions to understand and resolve them, in the workshop I'll be holding again by popular request, on Thursday, September 27, 2018, in Timișoara, at Hotel Perla, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
You'll set the price for this workshop yourself, at the end, after you've lived the experience.

How many times have you thought your relationship might end? Safety in a relationship takes many forms — fidelity, financial security, or simply the confidence that things won't fall apart — but at its core, it comes down to trusting yourself to handle whatever comes your way.

A collection of some of my favorite quotes about love and relationships — I hope they inspire you as much as they inspire me.

Have you ever wondered why you have a positive relationship with some people, and are constantly in conflict with others? It might be less about incompatibility than about the part you play yourself.
